Before this lesson, how would you have described what a good leader does? How would you describe what a good leader does now?

For a while I couldn’t understand the difference between leadership or management at all…Thank God for his word and for his servants that are committed to teaching us the truth. I’m grateful to learn the difference so I can continue to navigate in the market place with wisdom and guidance.

I would have had a leader in more of a managerial role. I would a described a leader as someone that helps people accomplish a certain task. I would now describe a good leader as someone who takes a person or a group to a better place. They have a vision for that person or group, know that they do not know how to get there, and lead them to that place.

I would’ve said that they make sure people are in line, and are a positive influence to those under him. What I would say now is that a leader moves someone into a place that they need to go.

Honestly, I don’t think I could have answered that question well before this lesson. Now I know why…it is dependent on the circumstances that you are leading.

Before – Leaders take us someplace we want to go
Now – Leaders take us where we are not
