Before this lesson, how would you have described what a good leader does? How would you describe what a good leader does now?

Someone who takes charge and has a strong personality. I would say now someone who leads well leads men and lives for Christ.

Both before and after the lesson, I would describe a good leader as someone who selflessly serves those they lead. Jesus said “The Son didn’t come to be serve, but to serve” and looking at it biblically and practically, those that are leaders are people who are willing to lay down their life for those who they lead. Likewise, it is someone who leads with unwavering integrity and is F.A.T. (Faithful, Available, and Teachable).

A good leader must have a goal that both the mentor and those they are mentoring agree on and is achievable together.

Before: A good leader knows their followers, casts vision for her team, and serves them by leading them to new and greater things.
After: I still think I would keep it the same!

Before I would have said a good leader has vision, influence and accountability. I would still say that now, but frame it in the framework of the statement: · Leadership takes us where we “ain’t.”
