Dr. Nac Cullough’s guiding questions help in planning a systematic lesson plan keeping in view the biblical aspects. This will help in critical thinking and develop ideas for teachers to teach students.

As a middle school History teacher I see how Dr. MacCullough’s eight guiding questions can be biblically integrated into my lessons. Many life issues are discussed in my 6th – 8th grade classes, and I have taken time to answer many of these “guiding questions”. Answering these questions throughout the school year is a common practice, although, I must mention that answers given to 8th-grade students are in far more depth of discussion than with 6th-graders. Thank you for the reminder that keeping these questions at the forefront of my planning does not mean that the topics discussed are NOT “off track” in the curriculum.

It is very insightful to see how using guided questions can tie in to our curriculum mapping. I can see this leading to deep and challenging questions with the students as well as opportunities to share the Gospel.

Yes I can see how the guiding questions would be valuable in curriculum mapping. Our grade level team has been charged to complete a map (scope and sequence). I can enthusiastically see how these 8 questions will help to develop daily lesson plans with so much more substance (creating “an abundant life” for the students).

I am excited about creating Biblically integrated lesson plans. It is a blessing to be able to infuse God’s word into what we teach. I think that networking with other Christian teachers and sharing ideas helps Christian educators to create creative lessons that will engage students with scripture.
