No, not that I can recall. Bear in mind that my upbringing was in church, yet I didn’t know Jesus for myself. Now all these years later, I am seeking to know Jesus wholeheartedly. I am searching for the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Our son in law is a new Christian. He is asking lots of questions about faith, the church, and Christianity.

I was trying to share the Gospel with one of my neighbors who is a self-proclaimed atheist. He said that he did not believe in a God who allowed human suffering. For example, children who die of cancer. The question was, “Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?”

Usually at family gatherings where a large number of family members are skeptics or outright atheists and are very dismissive

It is usually when someone is facing a tragedy in their lives that you are challenged to defend your faith. You are asked to explain why God would allow said tragedy. That is when all you can do is give the reason for your hope in Christ. How can you explain some tragedies when we do not know the full plan God has in our lives and the lives of others. That is when we must rely on God’s word and not on our own understanding.
