Yes, who puts food on your table?
Is it God or your parents?
If you don’t save money? You’ll live on the streets? Better to be prudent ?

I was once discussing spirituality with my sister, on secular books she has read on them. She is skeptical of Christianity and fells can connect to spirituality through secular means. She has asked me questions too on why my life is filled with suffering, if my faith in GOD is firm. I have struggled to convince her.

In response to the question of suffering, it may be necessary to explain that suffering is common throughout the human experience because humanity in the main has chosen to live under the rule of the prince of the power of the air (Ephesians 2:2) who cares not one whit about humanity in general, and Christians in particular. Even so, the Bible is replete with examples of the people of God who went through various sufferings but still maintained their faith because they knew that the promises of God are mostly for a future time. For example, Jacob–one of the patriarchs– told the Pharoah that all the days of Jacob’s life had been “few and evil”(Genesis 47:9), yet he failed to explain that God is a God of justice as well as love, and that Jacob’s situation was the result of his many deceptive actions. Nevertheless, at the end of his life, Jacob’s blessing of his sons were honored by God. Until God removes Satan from the throne at Jesus’s second coming, both believers and nonbelievers can expect to deal with suffering in this world. Thankfully, Jesus has overcome the world!

I was defending my faith to my son. As he was preparing to go off to college, I wanted to prepare him for the challenges he would probably face from professors and classmates regarding his own faith. I tried to focus on Jesus, his death, burial, and resurrection and why we can trust the “eye witness testimonies “ of the New Testament.

One time I was having a conversation online and I guess this person seen out pretty conversation and texted me back asking why I felt the way I did on Jesus. Even though I don’t know today if what I told him got thru or not to him after I finished answering he just responded thank you. I was telling Him how Jesus loved us before we loved Him and He was creator of the earth and everything in it. That He came to earth and died for our sin to pay a debt we could never pay and He arose on the third day that is when the person wrote back saying thank you. I told them welcome but haven’t gotten a message back. But I hope and pray I was able to help them to discover Jesus

When my wife and I were working at the Gig Harbor pool, one of the life guards, an Atheist, wanted to refute Christianity. For a series of weeks we talked through the elements of faith. Eventually he came to a position that he could not refute Christianity and he asked Christ into his heart. It was a good experience. What was often told him was I do not know the answer, but I can find out. The Lord was gracious to lead my wife and I to the right answers.
