I have a student with a harden heart. I am praying she sees the need of a savior in Jesus Christ.

At the beginning of this school year I received a student that was very intelligent but was highly disruptive. He has had a hard life to live, and doesn’t trust anyone but himself. I had him in my heart and was looking for ways to earn his trust and attention. He only made it to one semester in our school. Before he left, I wrote him a letter of encouragement. Up until this day I pray for him.

I am still waiting for my students to become more ethnocentric. They are still kind of self-centered due to limited experiences and my hope and prayer is that their eyes are opened before they have to deal with disaster.

This is my first year at the school where God called me to be. I feel that I am still waiting, praying and hoping for God’s hand to move in the lives of my students; at least in the dramatic ways I am seeking Him for! Of course the daily signs of humility and hunger for righteousness, keep me coming back day after day!

One of my courses that I teach all of the students effort of learning isn’t there. They do not really care or want to try. It’s very discouraging because as an educator my heart hurts because I do not want to see them fail, but as I have told them to check their hearts and realize that it starts with them, and to ask God to change their way of thinking about Math, I have noticed a shift in the course and students are becoming more engaged and taking charge of their learning.
