I recall a memorable experience where a non-believing student, for the first time in his life, picked up the Bible in class and read it devotedly for a whole week during his reading schedule. He would carefully return the Bible to his reading basket, ensuring no one took it. I remain hopeful and prayerful, believing God for his salvation, and trusting that the Holy Spirit will convict him and draw him to faith someday.

There are so many examples from which to choose. Holistically speaking, I have seen students develop over time in their maturity, skills, and ability to handle challenges well. The changes I have seen typically come over years, not just within a single school year. I have seen students enter as college freshmen who are wide-eyed and over-confident move through various stages of struggle and humility… and emerge as seniors who are balanced, discerning, and effective leaders in their peer groups/institution. This leadership change is almost always accompanied by spiritual maturity and bears the fruit of humble acknowledgement that their lives are the Lord’s.

The most discourage discouraged thing I have experienced with students is when students were forced by their parents to do a subject they were not interested or not having the ability to do. It took a lot of efforts to encourage those students grow their faith in taking responsibility. With my consistency in not relenting in establishing confidence in possibility, they end up passing well.

I have a lot of students who have attended our school since Covid, but do not come from believing families. I can see them wrestling with what they hear at home compared to what they hear at school. It can be so difficult to witness. This is an area where I have to remind myself that God has placed them at our school and what an amazing opportunity it is to share the Gospel with them. I am still waiting and praying that they accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

I have a Pakistan student in my class who does not believe in Christ. he struggled a lot in Economics’ lessons and fails each time I conduct a test. I was totally discouraged with his academic progress I told him that He needs to receive salvation which Christ has brought for us free of charge. At the moment, I believe that God is still working on him to free from the yoke of sin.
