This was disheartening because I thought I had made progress with her. However, I realized that the change may not be instant for her and God will need to refine her. Accepting Him was the first step.

I have specifically been praying for this student and encouraging him and the other day he wrote me an apology note for his behavior. I pray that the Lord will continue to work in his heart.

Between the behavioral issues and the educational struggles I never quite know where this student is. There were changes put in place and it’s gotten better. This student struggles with memory work and usually acts like they are indifferent. My husband dropped off items for a celebration recently. He asked my students for verses in trade for the goodies he was leaving. He’s ornery like that. He called on this little one and they crumbled. A very tearful declaration that they don’t get that in or put forth the effort. It was probably a favorite moment for me right before the break. Not the tears but knowing the student realized the need for work in that area.
