Our administrator goes over them at back to school night before school begins. Teachers invite students to read them together the first day in each class. Our school wants to give the student the opportunity to change their be behavior with a warning. They know if they do not correct the behavior they will receive an infraction in which they will have to go to the vice principal’s office and talk about what they did and how they can improve their actions next time. Parents are notified so they are aware of the event. Our school mission statement is: The Mission of Casper Christian School is <b style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; color: inherit;”>to partner with the home and the church to provide students with Christ centered academic excellence that equips them to serve Christ in the world.

I refer to it when a student may have done something mean to another student and we talk about if that student would want someone else to do it to them? They usually say no and it usually helps them understand. Another policy is I try to not embarrass students in front of the class if they need to be corrected as a way to show them love. The personal discussions are usually a lot more effective.
