During the pandemic it was difficult not being able to fellowship with my church community, not that I gave it up, but for a while our Service was move to on-line only. I was faithful in my attendance in front of the TV, and actually purchased Communion Kits for my family and friends. I used Zoom meetings during the pandemic as an opportunity to witness more to my family and friends about having a relationship with Christ.

I’m answering these questions several years later, 2025. To my recollection, we attended church online. I was faithful in attending. I don’t recall if I was steadfast in my daily devotionals throughout the weeks of the pandemic. I typically did that first thing at work. We were off for a few weeks. Other than that, I believe I held up my spiritual disciplines for the most part during the pandemic. In review of my journaling, I did see me focusing on the Lord and what His Will may have been for my life, my family, and those I care about during that time.

I graduated college right before the pandemic, and within 2020 moved out of the home and began working full-time. During this time I was able to create more space to be in Scripture and pray, and to build that into my daily routine. This has been a huge help not only in my intimacy with God, but also focusing my life and growing my faith walk.

On the whole, I did not give up my spiritual disciplines. Unlike a person who can be removed from me by social distancing as a safety measure, God is everywhere and cannot be removed from me. On the contrary, I quickly transited to a new normal and discovered new means of learning and growing. I discovered micro-learning through a cheap or free platform called Gnowbe. It provided many interesting learning topics which enlarged my world. Later it even came up with some free programs about coping with COVID or about spiritual topics. Much later, I began to learn new things and meet new people on Zoom too. A few years down the line now, I am developing myself greatly on Our Daily Bread University. In summary, I feel that my growth spiked instead of died out, during/after COVID.
