Yes, I did give up some spiritual disciplines during the pandemic. I didn’t attend church and didn’t care for the online service. After everything was opened, I resumed attending church and went back to my normal schedule. I am still trying to make sure that I put forth the effort to read my bible and meditate on the word. I work 45 minutes away from home, so I get home late some days and am exhausted. I listen to worship and pray in my car, but I feel like I need to spend more time praying at home and studying the word.

When my church closed temporarily, they started Youtube Live streaming which sort of was a blessing for me because I was a caregiver for my brother and I actually missed a lot of services and watch other pastors I was familiar with on television. My other spiritual routine were the same.

It made me closer. I became stronger into speaking and praying for others online. As a ordained MinisterI started online church that is not non-profit . I do not take donations. To encourage others. Encourage them by bible verses, videos and just being there. Christian National Church of Christ | The Woodlands TX | Facebook

I stop attending church and there was much less interaction or close to no interaction with the community. Felt isolated and life was like coming to a standstill. Spiritual disciplines can be rebuild by setting aside time to attend church and rebuild support system by being part of a small group and connecting with people in personal ways

I didn’t give up any spiritual disciplines during the pandemic, but instead became more intentional. A women’s Bible study I had started, we just did online instead. We did not stop meeting and as soon as we could get together again we did! Even though we didn’t go to church services in person I think as a family sitting together and watching it online together with our kids brought us closer too. We were intentional about not letting the pandemic give up things, especially when it came to God and our spiritual time we got more intentional about it and I think it brought our family closer. I prayed all families were able to do this and come closer together as a family and to God.
