Discuss a teacher who had a positive influence on your life. What did he/she do that was influential for you?

Even though I had not a Christian education I still remember my 5st-grade teacher who saw me as a future teacher and encourage me to pursue this carrier. She was able to foresee my dedication to helping others and my sincere desire to pass on knowledge.

I have been most impacted by the teachers who believed in me, and encouraged me. I am sorry to say that I have had teachers who were not very encouraging and have said some not very wise things. I remember the teachers who saw something in me that I had not yet seen in myself.

My Principal Mr. D.C Joy of blessed memory was my biology teacher. I wont forget the day he took us out into the bush for ecology to study and he will always relate what he is teaching to the bible. He cared for every students in the school, his love drew me closer to him and I have leant a lot what it takes to be Christian educator. I apply the things I have learnt from him day by day as I teach.

My high school band teacher had the most influence on my life because he took the time to get to know me. He encouraged me to pursue my love of music and helping others. He also spurred me on to be a better student and go to college after high school.

I had an excellent HS math teacher. She always encouraged us to realize that God had an expectation for us and that expectation was high. We are all expected to use what He gave us for HIs glory.
She would also grade with generous partial credit. She only penalized for a mistake one time. If you got the wrong number in part a but did everything else correct with the wrong number then you received credit. I think that encouraged students to not be afraid or as anxious about her tests.
