“You ask and don’t receive because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your evil desires…” (James 4:3 HCSB).

At least you provided a quick response. Yes. unanswered prayers can become a headache.

It shows the folly of human wisdom in the light of God’s wisdom.

God’s will is perfect. We need to allow God to be God and rely upon His wisdom.

I’ve also asked for a lot of “silly” things through prayer in my life. At the time they didn’t seem silly, but as I’ve gotten older, and grown in my walk with Christ, I can see the reasons for those prayers not being answered. My life would be a lot different, but I believe I’m where I’m supposed to be, and God’s not done with me. So I’m thankful for those unanswered “silly” prayers.

I know I have prayed for some things in my life that seemed so serious at the time, but looking back, I realize that if God would have granted those prayers, my life would have been completely different, and I don’t believe it would have been in a good way. God always knows what’s best.
