I wonder? Where or what would I be doing now. Hopefully still in God’s grace and not being proud for all the answered stupid prayers that I prayed. God is wonderful and I’m glad He did not answer all prayers. I think my life would be so good now.

There are things we learn when we are met with unanswered prayers that we would not have otherwise. When we are in need we lean in and rely on God more. When we are waiting and asking God, we are on our knees. If everything we asked for is answered we would grow complacent, I think.

As mere men, we don’t always know what is best for ourselves. If God had granted everything we asked for, it could instead have brought harm to us. We also ask for certain things out of impatience. If they were granted then, the timing would not be right. Finally we sometimes ask for certain things in a fit of anger, e.g. asking for vengeance. It would’ve been disastrous if God did everything we asked.

Some prayers are emotional and out of desperation, which could even negatively affect our lives or walk with God; but God in His wisdom knows what is best for us.

Many of our prayers are in the heat of the moment, when we haven’t made all the connections or instances where an affirmative outcome wouldn’t have for our best interest. Thankfully God is in control and he has a plan.
