We were created in God’s image and with a spirit and soul which can relate to God to attain His purposes through whatever challenges life throws at us.

The life of a Christian should be a life dedicated to seeking God , knowing His will and a desire to please him and be led by him. Like a good shepherd who leads through the dark valleys and bring to fresh pasture for restoration.

Unfortunately most Christians continue to live lives in the flesh, desiring what the world pursues but seeking God’s endorsement for worldly pursuits. The strategies to attain these goals usually do not involve God but we expect a perfect and good life since God should be able to provide that. However God always has a better path to follow that is not problem free but filled with hope that he is with us and turning things around for his glory.

This is the revelation Paul got that he could say all I had I now count as dung compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Jesus.

When we use God or others or things to get a better life – better circumstances we doomed because we are living in foolishness , we are self managing attempting to meet our personal needs through things that aren’t God.

It’s only when we are dependent and open to God that He can come into us and we can lead an abundant life that is full of real Hope.

    Everlasting Joy !

I hate this wording. Our better life in Jesus is found in our better hope Jesus.

If all a person is looking for is a “better life,” the satisfaction found in Christ will never be realized and they always be searching for “the better life,” because it will always leave them feeling wanting. If by God’s Spirit we can give to anothe, a desire for a deepere relationship with God, and they begin to feel His hope rising up in them, that is when true change will occur.

Keep your mind on things above, not on earthly things. Colossians 3:2

Our hope is in the grace and loving kindness of God not in what he can do for us or any material things.

When our hope is in God we can savor the joy and grace that is freely given to us.
