First of all, I love this presentation. I think that what stands out to me is Community. For the most part, I have been hesitant because I did not want to violate boundaries. However, the one time that I did reach out and invite a player to church she showed up.
I need to take more risks in this area.

I am in a ministry where we may only see each other 10-12 times a year. It is very important to utilize all of the Cs. I feel like Consistency and Community are very important. With limited time there is limited opportunities. If I can be consistent during my time with them, it will allow me to help them with Community if when I am not “near by” or away from the playing field.

I here believe that as Chaplains/ Sports ministers ; We need to be more recognize the that The Common Ground and Connectivity is more than the Occupation that they perform for compensation. One personal history manifestation of this is how 2. Baseball players were able to be influential in Ohio in moving a T.V. Journalist from that role into being a E.L.C.A. Bishop administratively over 172 Congregrations in the N.E. Geography of the state. CLE, Ohio. 013123.
