Yes, although I do not claim to understand the full implications of this aspect of our theology. It’s important, however, to grasp enough of it to understand that God offers a way to be saved from our sin – for its price to be paid. This is also a teaching that beautifully demonstrates the grace and mercy of God – a characteristic that ought to echo through our interactions with others.

I think I understand a biblical worldview of redemption, but I don’t fully grasp all of its glory, its wonder and its implications. There is so much more to learn and understand of God and His redemptive story. I know I have to hold on to this redemptive worldview or I would lose all hope in this life which is often so hard and confusing. The fact that Christ came and sacrificed His life for me is incredible! Who does that?! The Bible says, “Even for a good man some may dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:7-8)
I must have the amazing experience of redemption in my own life to be able to pass it on to others. If I have not known the depths of my sin and the glorious heights of Christ’s redemptive work in my life, I cannot be a conduit of redemption for my students or anyone else. I can only love as deeply as I know I am loved by God.

It is the most important thing for individuals to recognize the necessity to call on the only one who has the power to save them. Once they ask Jesus to rescue them, they can begin the journey of living in their identity of a much loved son or daughter of their savior and king.

I do feel that I understand redemption and its importance. It influences how I live, how I teach, how I interact with students. Knowing that God sent His only Son to save us from our sin, I want to live my life and teach/share the Gospel to glorify and praise Him. I want to share my testimony with others to help them trust in Jesus so we can all be together with Him in Heaven one day.

Yes, I understand the importance of God’s redemption for his people due to the fall through sin. This helps us to see our students in the light that God is able to restore them even when they sin and apply this to our discipline.
