The church should not be equated with a so-called Christian civilization, as its mission is primarily spiritual and centered on the teachings of Christ.
Positive outcomes of a Christian civilization include greater cultural influence, increased resources for outreach, and strengthened community bonds. However, negative outcomes can involve the compromise of faith, entanglement with politics, and a loss of distinctiveness. Maintaining a clear distinction between the church and any civilization is essential for preserving its mission and integrity.

It seems like the church is “comfortable” in the western world. If we don’t ” stand for something we will fall for anything’ is what I was taught as a young believer many years ago. I don’t htink the comfortable status of the church today is building up her strength or impact on our world..

western Christianity is crumbling because most Christians are luke warm and biblically illiterate because they are too comfortable in this world.

No, in my opinion, the church should not be equated with a Christian civilization because the church is the body of people who go there to worship. The church is not merely a building. All Christians are the body of the church. We each have a different spiritual gifts and we all work together to spread the gospel.

God calls us to follow Him and to evangelize and share the story of Jesus with all peoples. Are we going to make mistakes? Yes. Are we going to need forgiveness? Yes. But that does not mean we stop. If Western civilization stopped spreading the good news of Jesus, I would not know Him, because I am a person in the location. We have to be a church who hears God and follows His guidance. We have to spread the love of Jesus to all people.
