Yes. Having the Scripture memorized at a young age allows you to have that truth inside of you for your entire lifetime and will help you live a life that honors God.

Yes! It is so much easier for children to memorize information. I want them to be stuffed so full of God’s Word that they can pull from it in any situation. Like Ellen said, memorizing things only gets harder as we age, and if they have the Truth hidden in their hearts, they can draw from that and apply it years down the road.

I defiantly think that it’s important for young children to know scripture. It is so much easier to learn when you are young and it will be easier to recall when you are in a difficult situation as you get older. The younger a child can learn scripture, the better.

Yes, it is vital for very young children to memorize God’s Word as the guide for life and as a guard for their minds from the evil, insidious philosophies of the world. Psalm 119:9, 11 says, “How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to Your Word…Your Word I have hidden in my heart that I might not sin against You.” God has created us with impressionable minds, which must be filled and trained in truthful thinking from the beginning of life.

Yes, it is very important for young children to know Scripture. By helping children hide God’s Word in their hearts at an early age, you are setting. a strong biblical foundation as well as giving them “ammunition” in their spiritual battles. Children have a greater ease in memorization than adults so taking advantage of them learning the Scripture will then allow the Lord to continue bringing back those Scriptures as they grow in Him and learn His truths more deeply.
