Yes, scripture offers us wisdom and support in times where we struggle. A young child with that foundation knows where to turn when they face challenges. It becomes a foundation for their faith as they grow.

It is important for them when they are facing a difficult time they can remember what God has to say about it.

Yes. Young student’s brain absorbs and remembers things that are difficult for some adults to remember. The sooner they are hiding God’s word in their heart, the sooner they will know and accept Christ as their Savior. Our ulitimate goal.

It is absolutely important. The one caveat I would say to this is it is important for young children to learn scripture in context. Too many times verses get pulled out of context and lose their intended meaning and so along with memorization we need to teach the context of the verse to children as well.

Absolutely! It is IMPERATIVE that our children know Scripture! The Bible tells us to “hide God’s words in our heart,” and it is a critical piece of being a Christian, so that we guide our lives by His principles and can recall His wisdom through memorized verses and working knowledge of the Bible.
