Ellen said it in her lecture of the importance of young children to know Scripture. When students have learned God’s word in memorization they can apply a Biblical worldview to their lives. They will be able to solve problems in God’s way instead of the world’s way.

Absolutely! As a mother of a kindergartener and a second grader, who both are students at the school where I teach, I can see how what their teachers teach them in Bible course applies to their daily lives. Their minds are at a cognitive point where it is easiest for them to memorize.

Yes. It is important to see the world the way it really is, and scripture tells us the way the world really is. For children to have their minds formed according to this truth is essential.

This entire lesson was encouragement to have more Bible memorization both for me and my students. I think it is very important for us to have the continuous rolladex of God’s word at our arsenal.

From my own experience, I know that being encouraged to memorize verses at a very early age has benefits 60 years later.
