Yes, I think it is important for children to know scripture because children are able to memorize scripture quickly. It is much harder for adults to memorize scripture. By memorizing scripture, children will have a good foundation to continue to learn.

It is very important for young kids to memorize and know scripture at an early age, because their brains are very pliable and able to absorb information easier.

Yes, I think it is very important for young children to know Scripture. Firstly, the Bible commands us to teach children Scripture in Deuteronomy 6. Secondly, making a child’s life’s foundation the Word of God will carry with them the rest of their lives regardless of whether they choose to live for God or not once they have grown. God’s Word will still influence them despite the outcome. Thirdly, it will help children to look at the world from a biblical perspective and to begin renewing their mind at an early age. Lastly, children’s minds are like sponges, they can much more easily memorize Scripture than adults can and the Scripture they memorize while young, as mentioned above, will stay with them the rest of their lives.

The value in young children understanding Scripture is that it helps frame who God is and who they are in God’s story. Scripture also teaches us that God desires us to renew our mind and one of the best ways to renew our mind is through the memorization of scripture. It also helps develop an apologetic at an early age.

Yes. It is easier for children to memorize Scripture at a young age. This ensures it stays with them long-term. It’s also a means of planting the seed and growing into something they can recall and fall back on. This seed will hopefully and surely grow into something more fruitful.
