Yes, it is important for children to know Scripture. As Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.”

It is very important for young children to know the scripture. When a child knows the scripture, he is able to confront attacks on the bible by the nonbelievers and answer questions to prove the existence of God.

Yes! It will shape them as they grow, and they are much better at memorizing Scripture when they are young.

It is important for young children to know Scripture because they need a foundation of Truth when they face choices as they are growing up. Memorized verses will come to mind during pivotal times, and youngsters need that word for comfort and strength. I know I did!

It is important for young children to know Scripture. David said in the Psalms, “I will hide your word in my heart, that I might not sin against God”. Children need to learn the Bible to form their moral values. Children also are easily able to memorize scripture, which God causes to come to mind, even as adults, to speak to us and bring answers to our questions.
