It is vital children are taught to memorize scripture. It is so much easier to memorize when you are young opposed to when we grow older. Hiding God’s Word in our hearts is vital for the Holy Spirit to be able to help us recall those verses when we really need them. Jesus said let the little children come to me, hinder them not. We as Christian educators are charged with the very important task of teaching our children the Holy word.

It is easier for them to memorize when they are young and it will stay with them longer. As they grow, those verses will come to their minds when they need direction or help.

Every person no matter what age should be faced with the Scripture. Jesus is The Word, and He is The Way, The Truth, The Life. There is no more important place to be than in His presence. That is what coming to the Scripture is – a holy place – spending time in the presence of Truth Himself.

Yes, the bible says we should all……… meaning young and old should hide the word in our hearts so that we will not sin against God.

Yes, it is important for young people to know Scripture. It is so much easier to learn and immerse our life in the Scripture if it is done at that young age. It becomes embedded and a part of who you are.
