I think this will create more of an open heart and mind for seeking the best possible outcome, rather than being the one to direct and drive the person TO the outcome. We will be much more focused on Christ and His desires for the person rather than our own, and be willing to see how God wants to work even if it doesn’t match our own plan.

This made me realise I didn’t have to try to be perfect in everyone’s eyes, because I’m not, and never will be. And that’s okay. God loves me and that’s why I need to stop trying to do the work, because it’s not my work to do. It’s His.

It takes the burden off of my abilities and puts it on God, who is far more able than I to change people. It also means I focus less on the symptom and more on the root problem of a lack of relationship with God.

You must let the Holy Spirit guide you instead of your own opinions and emotions. This takes the pressure off of you as you are dependent on the Spirit who gives wisdom and discernment.
