Dr. Crabb states that if you adopt the vision/goal stated above, “you will give up depending on your own competence. You will give up the pressure of having to make it happen, because you will know that you are out of your league.” How will knowing and believing this change the way you approach SoulCare?

Complete reliance on the Lord. The pressure is off me to figure it out and to live in radical dependance on God.

Knowing and believing this – I will stop trying to change a person.

As much counseling as I have been through, I wish one of them would have used Soul Care with me. There is no step by step system for Soul Care, it is done with the desires of Jesus. You can not fix anyone. When putting the desires of Jesus first the Holy Spirit can guide you in what you say, what you do, and how you handle the person’s struggles.

He hit the nail on the head. Only God can help and deliver and our desire is to somehow by the power of the Holy Spirit arouse a desire for God and God alone.

I would be totally depended on God for the vision and the change.
