Bible Study is reading God’s Word and seeing what He has to say to us. Fellowship is communing with other Christians and we know from Scripture (Matthew 18:20) that where two or more are gathered in the name of Jesus, He is also there. Prayer is the direct line of communication where we get to speak with God.

Bible Study, for me, involves three parts that deepen my personal walk with God: observation, interpretation, and application. Prayer is my continuous conversation with God about everything in my life: my struggles, emotions, any hidden sins that have gone unnoticed, my passions, dreams, and the happiness in my life. Importantly, prayer is also about acknowledging God’s goodness and honor, and giving all glory to God alone. Fellowship is when I share my bond with God and my brothers and sisters in Christ.

If you want to learn more of who God is, reading his Word and having a group of people to talk it through can be vital, especially for a new believer. Prayer is communication with God so praying before you read His word can help you understand.

All three forms have different applications, but hopefully the same results. Having a closer relationship with Jesus. Bible study teaches you, fellowship helps you stay with like minded people on your walk, and spiritual communication gives you a personal relationship with God.
