Bible study, fellowship and prayer are all ways of us communicating with God and Him with us. The 3 methods are all important and help us learn and teach in different ways.

Each serves such a large role in our spiritual formation and relationship building with God and fellow believers. Bible Study is reading God’s Word to us and hearing God speak to us through it, while prayer is the practice of speaking back to God and the communication with Him throughout our day/lives. Fellowship is time with other believers and growing together and walking with God with other believers through our lives.

Bible study is where you let the Spirit build your relationship with God and communication happens as the Spirit directs you, communication through fellowship is where the Spirit brings you into a group that praises God and works through each person in that group to build each other up as a shared time together, and communication through prayer is a personal way of spiritual communication with God either by oneself of with a prayer group. Each of these forms of communication develop the person in the body of Christ.

God speaks to us through His word (scripture). We speak to God through prayer. We speak to others (felllowship) about the Word and about Christ.

Because it’s based on who you are communicating with. Bible study can be corporate or by oneself. Fellowship is with one another. And prayer is communicating with God.
