Call it what you will, Bible Study, fellowship and prayer, while considered separate are part of an integral path towards following Jesus. Reading His Life, Calling to Him, and discussing Him to others begins to bring one closer. In participating infellowship, one’s following can lead to greater acts that Jesus calls us to do and provides accountability for our actions. Once all three are worked on, the path to Jesus becomes crystal clear.

Bible study, fellowship with other believers and prayer are ways to continue my growth in faith of Christ. Reading the bible has taught me who God is and His attributes. Fellowship with other believers gives me the strength and motivation to continue on my journey and prayer is my alone time with Christ to thank Him for all He does and has done throughout my life.

Bible study, fellowship and prayer are all different communication vehicles in our Christian journey, Bible study to me is where I learn from other believers about God and those who were on this journey before. We learn more about God, how much He loves us and all he does for us and is willing to do for us on this journey. Fellowship as I mentioned concerning Bible study is learning, growing, receiving from our brothers and sisters in Christ. We support one another on this journey. And prayer is to me our major source of communication because it’s our time spent talking to God. Prayer is the most important vehicle for us on this journey. Yes these are all different means of communication but all essential to growing in Christ and our relationship with Him.

Bible Study, Fellowship, and Prayer are all ways to help us develop our relationships with God. Bible study can help us stay accountable, direct us in wisdom, as well as providing us the necessary encouragement we may need it the daily struggles we may face. When it comes to prayer there are many benefits the main one of course is to get closer to God. Fellowship helps build unity.

Through bible study, fellowship with dedicated followers of Jesus Christ, and prayer we become familiar in relationship to our Lord and Savior. In growing to know Him, we develop in seeking after Him and which allows Jesus to mold us into being more Christlike. Prov 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.” By being surrounded by God’s people, we learn and grow into maturity. By walking continually walking in prayer (1 Thess 5:16-17) we learn to rely upon and trust in Jesus. Finally, this life long journey is to grow in relationship, because the only thing that matters is that on the final day, Jesus welcomes us as good and faithful servants. Matt 7:21-23 “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’”
