Bible study, prayer and fellowship are all forms of spiritual communication. Bible study is how we learn more about God. The bible is also the inspired word of God so it is one of the ways God communicates with us. Prayer is our main way of communicating with God but prayer time can also be a time to listen to God. Through fellowship, we can minister to one another with the Spirit’s help.

Bible study, fellowship, and prayer are each a form of communication that is used in different ways to communicate with God. God speaks to us with his word when we study the Bible. When we share our beliefs with other believers or non-believers we are experiencing fellowship which spreads God's word. When we pray we are speaking to God about the things that are on our minds and hearts.

I would say that Bible reading is us taking the Word into us by concentrating on what comes into our eyes. Prayer is a one, or two-way, talk with the Lord depending on how we approach it. Fellowship is us speaking with other liked minded Christians in group sessions and speaking with the Lord as one. But really, all of these forms of spirtual communication can be a two-way conversation if we learn how to include the Lord and invite the Holy Spirit to speak to us. We also need to learn how to listen to God, how to know His voice over ours and outside forces sucha as demons and other people’s, and discipline ourselves to walk in obedience to what He reveals to us.

Bible study is the main way God speaks to us. How we learn and understand who He is. Father, Son, Holy Spirit. How we get to know the heart of God. His attributes, sovereign, holy, love, faithful and so many more. His plan of remdemption. So much to learn! We never stop learning. Seek Him for answers. We can’t grow a relationship, unless we get to know the other person. God loves fellowship. He created us to be in community with Him! Jesus fellowshipped and spent time with His disciples. Fellowship can be used in combination with bible study and prayer. God’s wise gift to us to grow in Him together, to build up, encourage and edify each other. Prayer is a form of intimate, sincere, transparent communication with the LORD, in solitude or community. A time to seek and speak our hearts to HIM. Even though He knows before we ask, we can praise, thank, ask, cry, lament or just talk to HIM. Our great and perfect God is accessible every second.

In the natural world, there are various forms of communication, for example, verbal, body language, and silence. Many times when we want to get to know someone better or know more about an individual, it is natural to desire to spend more time getting to know them, their likes, dislikes, favorite foods, styles, interests, etc.
This is Bible study for Christians, we want to know more about this Person we have fallen in love with, so we turn to His great love letter to us, to the world, the Bible.
We have questions, we need clarity and we want to spend some time speaking with our new Friend to tell Him a little about ourselves, our concerns, and our cares, so we communicate with Him through prayer and as listening is a vital part of communication, we wait for that ‘still small voice’.
As we read and study our Bible, we seek to learn more about our new Friend and continue to develop a greater love for Him. In doing so our interest is sparked and we want to learn how He is impacting the lives of other believers through fellowship.
