Bible study is the study of God. Through engaging in God’s Word, we learn about God; we also allow God to speak to us as we linger long enough to ponder on His words.

Fellowship with believers result in a scenario like iron sharpening iron; we edify each other as we fellowship with one another in the light.

Prayer is two way communication between us and God. We tell God what’s on our minds and hearts. On the other hand, we also allow God to speak to us as we keep silent before Him. Prayer is basically a conversational relationship with God

Bible Study and mediating on the Word is the centre pillar on which a believer should immerse in at whatever phase of their walk with God. The Word helps us to realise, re-examine, reiterate, and reinstate our faith in God and the Word. Every story, illustration, character, and place in the Bible has its place in the Bible for a very good reason. Reading and studying the Word will allow the Holy Spirit to help us in learning how they relate and are relevant to our lives as a Christian. Bible Study helps us understand who God is and why the Holy Spirit is an integral part of our communication with God. As we study the Word, the Holy Spirit enlightens us and tells us the areas that we need transformation.
Prayer is a one- way communication where we can talk to God, by giving thanks, taking our cares and woes to Him, and opening our hearts honestly to our Heavenly Father. We can only be honest to God about how we feel at any point in our life. God knows the human nature and how we are weak in all areas of our life, prayer can help us strengthen our communication to God.
Fellowship with God is part of the two-way communication that grows stronger as we commune with Him and learn from His Word, thus allowing us to have a good relationship with our fellow beings. The royal law states that, “We ought to love one another”, this commandment can only be followed if we learn to love our Lord and read the Word to keep ourselves from the characters that cause us to alienate ourselves from others and let go of selfishness in our lives. When we love God and His Word, we can easily have good associations with our fellow being and restore our relationships.
Thus, Prayer helps us to communicate to God, Bible study allows God to teach us His ways and fellowship helps us to commune with God and have a wonderful relationship with each other on earth.

Bible study can be called “Knowing God” as it is a very real and tangible way to hear from God. By searching His Word we are led by His Spirit to know His very heart and love for us. I think Prayer can be called “Conversations with Almighty God” because of how personal it can be. To be able to freely express whatever is on your heart or mind to the God of all creation knowing that he wants and longs to hear from us is truly amazing. Finally, I think Fellowship can be called “Friends of God” as there is something so special about meeting with other believers and sharing joys, sorrows and the love of God. I am always encouraged by others testimony of the goodness of God in their lives.

Bible study, fellowship, and prayer are all different types of spiritual communication because we are using these outlets to grow spiritually ourselves, along with connecting and growing with other believers. These are all forms of communication that we can use based on who we are trying to communicate with. Prayer would be a direct line of communication with God. Bible studies can be used on our own or with other believers to learn and discuss God’s Word together. Fellowship would be a great way to communicate with other believers while we worship or just spend time together outside of Sunday services such as in small groups our other activities that grow your relationships with the members of your group.

Spiritual communication flows from the Father to us through Scripture primarily. This is a major source of where we want to listen in order to learn more and more of what it is to live a spiritual life.
A second area of spiritual communication is that of fellowship with others in spiritual conversations. This may be sharing since of the same Scriptures we have learned or discussing ideas or questions we have developed.
The third area of spiritual communication prayer. This is practiced as a response back to God from what we have learned and experienced in our relationship with Him, as we have received from the Scriptures and from beneficial discontent with others.
