Christ did not live in a vacuum. His words and deeds were visible and heard by “others.” Without the others, there would never have been a means of spreading Christianity to the world. It is therefore required of us to study, meditate in silence but to mirror the life of Christ by demonstrating righteous behavior to those who encounter us.
