I appreciated the visual representation of God’s word on the bottom and the top as a way to bookend whatever it is that we are teaching. The middle part is all about our textbooks, curriculum, teaching resources, and scope and sequence, but it doesn’t have value if it doesn’t start with God’s word and end with God’s word.

This visual was an impactful way to show that the Bible should be the center of our work as an educator and it can and should be woven into all areas of curriculum as much as possible from science to phonics.

I believe that the visual is reminding teachers to start and end with the word of God when creating lessons for your classes. No matter what you teach or educational goals that you have the word of God surrounds that information and gives it a framework. Basically our lessons in school should be focused on having the scriptures surround our information.

The visual was to help illustrate that the Word is the beginning and end of all discernment, even in curriculum and teaching.

It reminds us that God’s word is most important in any lesson! We must include it in everything.
