The Bible is the beginning and the end of all we do. All of the tools we use are measured by the standard of the Bible. The Bible is before those tools and will be after those tools.

We should begin with the word of God as our basis of what we teach. All of our text books, standards of learning, etc. should come from the Bible and be influenced by it.When we teach these concepts we should ask the students how they should apply to their life from a biblical point of view.

The Bibles are the foundations upon which everything stands! You know this! You gotta have solid books on the ends, if you dont have bookends very weighty, or the books all fall over. The Word of God is the basis of any good foundation. The curriulum and scope and sequence must be supported with God’s Word or it is supremely lacking in validity and value.

Dr. Black is illustrating that everything must be anchored in, framed by and understood through the lens of God’s Word.
