    “Processing activities” provide students with an opportunity to pause and reflect on what they’ve been learning in the classroom. Repetition and varying activities will help students to learn and apply the material.

    Processing activities allow students to demonstrate the knowledge that they’ve obtained. It allows them to reflect on the information they’ve collected and how they’ve collected it.

    To me, a processing activity helps the teacher see how students are able to process through information that has been talked about within the classroom. Almost like application. I think processing activities can happen at a variety of times. It can help break up bigger concepts, help connect concepts, and/or help with the application piece of a topic.

    Processing activities is where students are given room to take the content taught and through a different medium work through that content to better understand what is being taught.
