When you/students process information you revisit topics that were taught before. This is where you debrief what was just learned, which allows this information to sink in at a deeper level.

Processing activities – Revisit what you just did. Consider what worked and what didn’t. How can you make it better? Make adjustments as necessary.
Processing activities unit by unit and also subject by subject matter would make a for a more coherent unit overall and curriculum.

Processing activities are those that we go over several times during the year in order to give the students time to grow and process what they have learned. They help to reinforce important lessons and ideas over the coarse of time.

A processing activity is where students (and teachers – leading by example) reflect on what they have learned in the past and think about how they have grown in the time that has elapsed. They are a vital part of a coherent curriculum because learning things and applying concepts in the world around us is not static but dynamic.

Processing involves pausing and reflecting on what has been studied. It can involve comparing how students originally understood a particular topic with how they understand it later, after it has been studied over a length of time and in various ways.
