Explain, in your own words, why and how Christians should embrace science.

Christians need to embrace science because science deals with His creation and the world and how the world works. If we remove God from science, in essence, we are conforming to the ideology that God is separate from science. God and creation must be infused in what we are teaching.

To me science is a taking notes of the works done by our Creator. Science is the study of the past and present of living and non- living things.

According to Dr. Black, science is our best understanding of God’s creation. Therefore, we should welcome the knowledge that science brings us as it helps us further understand the world God created us to live in.

Scripture tells us in many places to care for creation. To care for something, one must be knowledgeable of it. Science and God go hand-in-hand and even the earliest scientists were Christians wishing to learn more about the Lord through learning about his works. In all the years I have studied science I have only developed more awe for the creation. Science tries to explain the hows and the whats, Scripture tries to explain the why – these are not exclusive but complementary.

The world’s science is based on theories. Christian science is based on God’s word. Through time as more and more is known about the world’s science, it eventually points us back to God’s science. So, as we learn and embrace new findings we can look for God in all of them, without embracing the untrue theories of man.
