Four different men wrote for four different reasons to four different audiences. It makes sense that their accounts would vary and have different emphasis.

Each author views events based on their perspective (eg doctor vs missionary), the audience they are writing to, and the reason they are writing.

The authors differ in their accounts at times because they saw the event from their lens be it a fisherman, businessman, missionary etc. They were looking through each unique lens of their work and writing about what stuck out to them.
