    Matthew was very focus on connecting the Old Testament and wrote to a Jewish audience. Luke the physician had special emphasis on Jesus’ healing abilities. Mark is the shortest most succinct Gospel. John writes very differently, more philosophical and also like Matthew connects a lot of Torah texts.

    Each writer wrote to a different audience and for a different purpose. Each writer included his own perspective, personality, and interests in their gospel book.
