My hope is based on the fact that Jesus came and was fully human. He identifies with me, and understands the brokenness within. He gave me the gift of the Holy Spirit to empower me beyond my brokenness to reach another’s soul for the sake of bringing the Kingdom of God here. That is the call, and he will equip me for the call, without being surprised by my struggle to do so.

My hope is that I can become a powerful provider of SoulCare for others by knowing that on my own I am inadequate and laden with personal mess. I hope to gain clarity of expressed concerns by acknowledging and accepting that troublesome passions will always be present. I pray to continually grow to “Trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not unto mine own understanding. In all my ways acknowledge Him and allow the Lord to direct my path.” (Proverbs 3:5-6).

My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus name. On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand! I am inadequate, therefore dependent on the Holy Spirit.

God has good plans for everyone. As I submit to Him in my human frailty He can make me healthily curious about & caring for another person beyond my selfishness; He can envision & equip me to create an appetite for Himself greater than my or my client’s selfishness. To God be the glory.
