Embracing the mindset of a sojourner involves recognizing that our time on Earth is temporary, with our true home in Christ. To instill this vision in your flock, teach biblical foundations, share personal stories, encourage community, practice generosity, and focus on mission. If your entire flock adopts this perspective, it could lead to increased unity, greater resilience, enhanced outreach, and deeper faith, resulting in a powerful testament to the hope and purpose found in Christ.

Yes, I believe that my soul will rest in Heaven someday. I do recognize that my purpose her on earth is to show as many the way to Christ while I am here. I will live my life in such a way to show the example of traveling on a path to more complete understanding of and fellowship with my Savior, and invite as many as I can along the way to join me on those travels. If my entire “flock” also has this mindset, we will share the gospel message with as many others as we can until we reach Heaven.

Yes, of course. We are living in this world but are not really a part of it. We belong to Jesus and our home is in Heaven. I have already spoken to the group about this issue. Many know that we are sojourners, travelers, or nomads. The people in our group know the concept but some do not really live this way. Others take this seriously and follow Jesus as each day. They make it a point to notice false teachings and heresies that stand out as not from the gospel.
Also, there are many to speak as if they cannot wait to be raptured to Heaven to be with Jesus.

No,I don’t think the idea of being a sojourner has really set in for me as yet. To be a sojourner, you will abide for the mount of time needed for the purpose of being somewhere. Then it is on to the next opportunity. The comes in the physical, emotional, and spiritual mindset. I do not have a flock, but to instill this we must understand that (Phil 3:20-21) this place is not our home, that is heaven. Also, this life is very short. We travel through this life to develop an unshakeable faith in our Lord and Savior. But only for a short time, this like a wisp of smoke, we are gone. If the entire flock developed this mindset, we would truly be a missionary church discipline people and nations to the redemption our Lord has offered through his own bloody sacrifice, and resurrection.

Since this life is temporary, I must be reminded that I am a sojouner in this life. We have a home in heaven.
