I was never stuck in denial or anything like that but as people in my life passed on I had more responsibility. I had to do more for my household and that was tough. Thanks be to God I had hope.

I was stuck in anger for a very long time and was able to move past that stage after the Lord educated me on the value and gift of forgiveness.

I’m still resting in the depression stage. As mentioned the stages do not flow in a specific order. Arriving at acceptance came before depression which, in my opinion has many paths and levels. I haven’t moved past depression, however, I am moving through. Having the freedom to talk about perceptions and feelings help, but patience with me allowing myself to feel what I feel makes navigating the process and passages of depression much easier.

No, I have never been stuck in any particular stage. The losses that I have suffered thus far have been my mom and dad, all four grandparents, a great-grandmother, and now most recently, a son. In all of the previous losses, I naturally ended in a stage of acceptance. The loss of my son Joseph is still so fresh, but there is a peace from God that abides.
