I have not had big conversations about creation in the classroom as part of a lesson. As a math educator, we have talked about how some mathematical ideas in nature such as the Fibonacci sequence of numbers. We have talked about how God created us in His image but gave us all special talents to use for His Creation.

Yes I have. Ken Hamm is an excellent resource that will guide you in answering these questions. We also use a Christian Curriculum that does a good job of helping explain it as well.

Yes. As a Christian educator, the students in my classroom believe in creation. However, I believe in order to defend creation students must also understand the theory of evolution.

The few times I had discussions about creation with my children went fine. One particular instance was a child contributing to the discussion, and saying the world was created after a “big bang”. I remembered asking the child, who created/caused the big bang and he answered God! I guess that made the conversation conclusive.

We discuss these topics when they arise in our daily readings of the verses. I ask the students their thoughts on what the verses say, and we watch a guided scripture message from the YouVersion Bible App. Usually, these discussions are short and sweet with my high school students. Sometimes they have additional questions that may be difficult to answer. I pray about it and find more verses to compliment our discussion.
