I have many times. I teach Bible and one thing I do occasionally is play the role of someone with the world view such as evolution and have the students defend the biblical view. This has worked great as it has allowed the students to truly think through their arguments. I would like to incorporate more time for students to research their responses either before or after the discussion to better prepare them for such encounters.

Yes! This year I had a much more inquisitive course than ever before in 3rd grade. They were brimming over with questions about creation, dinosaurs, angels, etc, even though we were not studying creation in Bible course. I had fun putting together a basic Creation/Apologetics 101 Slideshow while they were at a special so we could go over these very important foundational questions! In the future, I will include this in the beginning of the year for Bible course.

I teach first grade and I have touched on this discussion. I make sure it is appropriate for the kids in my course. Some kids try to make a joke about it, but I tell them we need to be praying for the hearts of people who believe in evolution, and not a world created by God.

Yes, frequently. The debate does take place, but in the end good science points to a Creator. I stand with scripture in it’s declaration that God created the Heavens, Earth and man. In so doing I bring students to the choice that has to be made by each person concerning a Worldview. The choice of either a humanistic (void of God) or Biblical (God centered) Worldview.

Creation and evolution are not major topics in my classroom, but they do come up on occasion. Our students usually have a good understanding of the debate about creation/evolution and are well-equipped to defend their beliefs about Creation. I’d like to make a more conscious effort to address the issue through literature, as we study the flow of philosophical thought.
