Yes, i did have a discussion about the creation but the students were so aware the creation came from God while evolution is a scientific theory.

In middle school our biblical standard is to help students engage in analyzing various theories of creation and the origins of life. We want to prepare our students to be in the world, but not of the world. We discuss three theories that are accepted by Christians. We don’t align with any of the three, but invite students to consider these options while talking with their parents about them.

We have discussed creation, but evolution has not been a part of the discussion. I teach very young children, and this topic has not come up.

I would handle this by explaining what this theory is so they would know what they are basing their decisions on. I would also explain God’s creation and Adam and Eve. Then I would have them compare it to one another. I would explain that Evolution is not a scientific fact. It is only a theory. According to science, a theory is only a guess that may be a possibility as the truth except there is no proof. Evolution is a theory that has been told so many times that people who don’t understand it claim it to be true. Also, remember that the theory of evolution was formulated to prove the superiority of a certain “race” and to prove that everyone else are slow “evolvers.”
