Have you heard Christians in your faith community teach ideas similar to any of these great heresies? Which biblical passages and ideas can be most useful in helping you guard against these mistakes?

No,I have not heard any of these heresies in my church, however our culture is full of these heresies. From the Unitarian view of collective spirituality, a Jehovah’s Witness’s view of who the Christ is, or how Mormons perceive the trinity. In Galatians 1:3-9, Paul is speaking to the Judaizers. However this can also be applied to other heretical faiths.

No. I have not heard any teachings similar to these in my faith community. I have however had Calvinism preached when we are of a Wesleyan-Armenian faith. I have also encountered several Jehovah Witnesses and Mormon believers, both of which have skewed incorrect views and teach heresies. John 3:16 is a good starting place and John 5:24 is another good verse to know to understand and guard against these egregious mistakes.
