I had not done much memorization of scripture growing up, but I have done more now as I have gotten older. I still feel that it is an area where I need to grow.

Yes, I began memorizing Scripture during my university years when I moved away from home and joined a new church. This practice has been a source of strength throughout my life. In moments of need—whether for strength, comfort, or guidance—it is those memorized Scriptures that come to mind and sustain me.

Yes, I learnt quite a lot from my childhood. Thanks to my home church and Vacation Bible School I attended while growing up. Many verses I learnt became useful to me much later in life during my days in the university. Even now, I realize when I have certain thoughts that are not godly, the scripture has a way of filtering the dirt in my mind. When I feel overwhelmed, It has a way of encouraging me. When I am confused/in doubt, it has a way of giving me clarity. Ultimately, it is constantly helping me discover God’s will in every area of my life.

Yes I have. I find it easy to use the scriptures that I have memorized in times of trouble. Also I quote them when I need reminders on the promise of God. When I’m in a crossroad and need to be reminded of what the truth is, They come in handy at different points of my life.

I have memorized scripture and it has helped me in my life. When I am going through a difficult time, God will give me the verse that I need.
