Have you memorized any Scripture? If so, how has that impacted your life? If not, how do you think you could begin to memorize Scripture?

I have memorized scripture throughout my life. I feel that God has used some of my memorized scripture to aid me in troubled times. When I felt that I needed to hear the Lord’s voice or counsel, He reminded me of those scriptural words, and it was a guidance and a comfort to me. We must continue to read and spend time in God’s word to draw closer to Him and to receive His counsel for our lives.

Memorizing scripture has been one of the most important sources of encouragement and comfort in my life. It has helped me during challenging times and is a great reminder that God’s promises are true and that he is always with us. There is a reason why scripture is referred to as the “living” word because it still speaks to us today and brings us life. During different seasons of life, I often have index cards posted around the house or in my car with scripture on it and have taught my own children and students to do the same to help them. While I have memorized scripture, I would like to be more committed to memorizing more.

I have memorized a lot of scripture, but the one verse that is most special for me is Titus 3:5. It is special because for most of my childhood, we didn’t attend church. I was invited to Awana at around 9 or 10 years old and this is the verse I memorized. Even today, it is a great comfort to me in times of struggle.

I love using the Bible App and am currently reading the Bible Chronologically, which I highly recommend. I have memorized several verses in English, and when I was younger in Spanish. I want to do a better job at reciting them word for word and memorizing the Book and verses they come from. Still, it’s incredible how the Holy Spirit will bring those verses to mind when I need them the most for myself or when speaking to others about Jesus.

I have memorized scripture. I will also have it written down to reflect on. I use my Bible and Google to refer to Bible verses. I am committed to memorizing more.
