Have you memorized any Scripture? If so, how has that impacted your life? If not, how do you think you could begin to memorize Scripture?

Memorized Scriptures have helped to sustain me during difficult days or seasons; continued memorization does take a lot more discipline and effort now though.

I have memorized Scripture. I struggle more now with trying to memorize more, but I am encouraged knowing a beautiful Christian woman who, when she found out she was going blind, decided to memorize the entire Bible before her sight completely failed her. If she can do that, I can keep learning and memorizing more! I answered this question previously, but I will touch on it again.
Knowing Scripture has helped me when I have turned away, gone astray and searched for meaning. Having God’s Word already in my head led me to not journey so far that I would end my life, although it was in that darkest moment that he brought back to mind that He will NEVER leave nor forsake me. I knew He was right beside me just waiting for me to turn and say, “Okay, I tried things my way, but it didn’t work. Through it all You never left, You waited for me to turn back to You.” Yes, memorized Scripture has played a very important role in my life.

I am not good at memorization, but I have memorized tons of scripture. It is a part of the Christian life to memorize and meditate.

I try to memorize the scripture because at times when I am down or in need of direction the HolySpirit reminds me of the word which comforts and encourages me. Memorizing scripture has also helped me to do what is right when I am going in the wrong direction.
