Yes, I have, It usually comes up to me as a guide, comfort, and counsel, it just speaks peace into me and reassures me that God’s words never return back to Him void. It always accomplishes the will of God. It helps me to pray in the spirit.

I often recall a Psalm that a church worker taught us in middle school. I was very unfamiliar with the Bible at that time, but I have often sung that Psalm and used it as a prayer many times in my life. I am very grateful for that teacher.

I have memorized John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Or Philippians 4:13 Ican do all things through Christ who gives me strength. More scriptures. It does give us the power over all odds. Helps me to want to memorize more and more. But to here on the tv or radio helps to keep it rooted in my mind. Just saying. I want to keep memorizing more and more. Helps putting the scripture on index cards and hanging them.

I memorized Scripture quite a lot when moving through school. I have sadly gotten away from it. However, because of those focused times in my education, I have a lot of Scripture that I can recall when I need it (like when I’m scared or impatient or need help in a certain situation). It has been highly impactful, and I need to return to that love of memorization.

I have only memorized a little bit of scripture because I didn’t grow up going to church or to a Christian school. It wasn’t until I started teaching at a Christian school that I started memorizing it with my students. It has definitely helped me to be a better teacher and be more confident in who I am.
